Particle Cascade

The blue of the earth is made of the total biosphere which has a variety of colors. We have only seen it in photos. But we can feel lives to see it and the inside of itself. The time when we can live in the mars or the titan, I think this feeling is stronger than now. Generations in the far future who live in only artificial environment and have only seen it in archive data hold sacred about it. Then they will rediscover the light of departed days and lost landscapes at both the blue earth and the multicolored diversity of various ecosystems.

I create this project by using special multiple exposure. Even if these are so small light spots like thumbnail images on a data base, I express these never lose glow of life.

地球の青はその内部に様々な色彩を持つバイオスフィアの総和から生まれる。だから写真でしか見たことがないはずの青さに私たちは生命を感じる。たぶんこの感覚は私たちが地球を離れ、火星などの地球近傍惑星や衛星に居住するようになるといっそう強化されるだろう。また深宇宙を漂う人工空間しか知らないような未来の世代は、無限の色彩から成る青のなかに過ぎ去りし光と生命に満ちた失われた風景を再発見していくだろう。
これらのイメージは過去に私が撮影した動植物や自然風景の写真をPCモニター上に表示させ、それを特殊な多重露光で撮影したものだ。たとえアーカイブ上の小さなサムネイルの光点となっても失われない生命の輝きを表現した。
